First time going to America. For one reason or another (length of flight, distance, other priorities), the West side of the planet had always been neglected in my travels since I mostly focused traveling East, which is where I currently reside. However, last October that long dry American spell came finally to an end and a trip I (have to confess) never really see coming materialise itself almost out of thin air (due to the conjunctions of 2 factors that were out of my hands: an unmissable deal and the persuasion of my partner). In the end, during our week-long October break, we pack a meek suitcase and we embarked on a 20 hours trip to Boston. Our plan was to stay there just 2 nights before moving to New York for another 5 nights. All in all, our US week went very smoothly (if a bit chilly at times, specially in windy Boston), and we had plenty of time to see and explore most of the places we wanted, trying to find a healthy balance between culture, entertainment and shopping. I carried the Lumix GX80 with just one lens, the G X Vario 12-35 f2.8 zoom, and that was more than adequate for most of the photo opportunities we encountered throughout our trip. Here is a few collection of snapshots grabbed during those days. One thing was clear at the end of our stay there, though: we can't wait to go back again!
