Silk & Gold: My second Thai wedding

Five years ago I took a night train to the rural area of Isan, some 500 km from Bangkok, to photograph my first Thai traditional wedding. Last January, as in a déjà vu, I boarded the same night train and arrived at the remote hamlet which was my destination with the first lights of day. The purpose was, again, the same as a lustrum before: to photograph a Thai wedding, my second. The ceremony followed an identical pattern this time around, and even the people gathered were mostly the same, for everybody in the small town had been invited, as it's customary in such traditional places. One thing was different, however: I had less time to get ready and wander around during the ceremony, which meant my focus was tightly kept on the couple throughout the whole event, and so the pictures are more limited in scope. Nevertheless, since I already explained the procedure the first time, I will let the images do all the talking and present here only a brief selection of the highlights of the ceremony. Happy marriage to the lovely couple and thank you for placing your trust in me on such an important occasion!
